UMB Contractors/Affiliates

  1. What is an Affiliate?
    An Affiliate is someone who isn’t paid by The University of Maryland, Baltimore, May work with Faculty, Staff or Students on Campus, May be employed by UMMC, Stapa, UPI, Maryland Bar,  State Examiners Office, Emergency Medicine Institute, Columbus Center. This represents just a sample of Affiliate Types so please check with your Department Administration.
  2. Why do I have to get a UMB One Card?
    You don’t have to get a UMB One Card but it is recommended for those Folks visiting UMB Buildings, Need Library Access or Athletic Center Access at UMB and UMBC and want the convenience and flexibility you get with our UMB One Card
  1. What do I have to do to be an Affiliate?
    You must be sponsored by a UMB representative or designee. The sponsor must sign your UMB Affiliate Form and send to the Help Desk located in the lower level of the Health Sciences/ Health Sciences Library. Very Important - School of Medicine Affiliates – Must send their Affiliate Form to the Dean’s Office For Approval Before They Send Their Form To The Help Desk

  1. What Privileges Do I Have With The One Card?
    You get all of the same benefits Employees & Students get accept for  the Library and Athletic Center Access  so contact those Departments for more specific information.
